New Cleansers on the Block

I'm on the hunt for a new oil cleanser, since our bestseller from Japanese brand Muji seems to be discontinued. Having always had oilier skin, I've always shied away from an oil cleanser and have tended towards products to rebalance my skin, not realising that sometimes I was making matters worse. Stripping my face of oil and sebum just seemed to accelerate oil production.
Many people with oilier skin have found that "oil attracts oil" and is an efficient way to cleanse, but most agree that double cleansing with another cleanser is important, so that oily residue is completely removed from the skin. The other option if you're not one for double cleansing, is to choose a cleanser which emulsifies well with water. There are plenty of oil cleansers on the market which work really well for oily and acne prone skin. Here are my new additions - I hope you like them!
Heimish All Clean Balm - This is a K Beauty staple because it's so fairly priced and it seems there's nothing it can't remove! Heimish concentrates on a small line of natural ingredient based products for deep cleansing without stripping. This balm cleanser emulsifies with water into a fine oil and then milk, to deep clean your skin without leaving it feeling stripped.

Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil - This is a great cleansing oil for oily or acne prone skin. It is fragrance and essential oil free for those whose skin is easily irritated. It contains only six ingredients, so it's a winner for those who prefer their products "clean' and with fewer ingredients: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil. These oil ingredients are non pore blocking and full of antioxidants. This product also contains jojoba seed oil, which is more of an ester, which is similar in make up to the skin's own sebum.
KSECRET - SEOUL 1988 Cleansing Oil : Pine Cica 1% + Probiotics I shan't lie - I bought this based on the packaging, and was thrilled to learn that it was lovely. I should say though that this is definitely better for those with dry skin, as the formulation is generally more viscose than the Klairs oil. It also takes more water to emulsify the product. My now mature skin needs that added oil, so I prefer to use this to take the day off, and the Klairs or Heimish balm in the morning. Some people have commented that the oil scent is quite strong with this cleanser, due I suspect to the olive fruit oil and macadamia seed oil, which can smell quite strong. I would agree with this but don't mind, as I'm rinsing it off. This is often the price you pay for formulations that are unfragranced!
