Nat Says: This is a hybrid sunscreen (meaning a mix of both chemical and physical filters) from cult Japanese brand Canmake. This sunscreen has now reached icon status amongst skincare lovers, because of its super light texture. Canmake market this superb sunscreen as a make up primer, and they’re not wrong - this sits really well under makeup.

High UVB protection (SPF50) and gives ++++ UVA protection too (unfortunately unlike UK and EU sunscreens which are able to tell you what the UVA protection is as a number, Korean and Japanese sunscreens don’t tend to do that.) For this reason, this is my go-to sunscreen when it’s not blazing hot out or I’m not planning on spending hours outdoors in the sun. Please note: For those of us who have Melasma/Hyperpigmentation and want to know how high the UVA protection is, unfortunately we just know that PA++++ supplies a minimum of 16 UVA protection factor. If you want higher protection for the stronger summer months, I would opt for Altruist Face Fluid, which has a Persistent Pigmentation Protection Factor (PPD PF) of around 54! Non-water resistant.
